Why this timer keeps history
Many quick stopwatches focus on the running display, then erase the context when reset or refreshed. This timer treats the completed session as the useful result: a name, duration, date, laps, and an exportable record.
Add a simple label such as “Client call” or “Morning run” before saving.
Search sessions, see totals, inspect laps, delete individual records, or clear everything.
Export CSV for a spreadsheet without creating an account or sending data to a server.
Timer or countdown?
Both tools use timestamps to avoid accumulated tick drift, and both restore active state from this browser.
Count upward for open-ended work, record intervals, and save the final session to history.
Start from a fixed duration and receive a visible and optional audible signal at zero.

The history is designed for convenience and privacy, not cross-device account-based time tracking.
Optionally name the task, start the timer, then select Finish & save. The final duration, completion date, and lap marks are added to history and the active timer resets.
History is stored in local browser storage on this device. It is not uploaded and does not follow you to another browser. Clearing site data also clears the history.
Yes. The active session stores its start timestamp, elapsed time, name, and laps. When the page returns, it calculates the elapsed time from those timestamps instead of losing the session.
A lap is the interval since the previous lap mark. Total time is everything elapsed since the session began. This timer shows both and marks the fastest and slowest split after at least two laps.
Yes. Export CSV downloads session names, completion dates, durations, and lap counts for use in a spreadsheet. No extra package, subscription, or account is required.
