Is there a file-size limit?
There is no service quota. A 500 MB per-file safety limit prevents accidental browser crashes; practical capacity depends on your device memory.
Can I open a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Unlock the file in its original PDF app first, then add the unlocked copy here.
Does it change the quality?
No. Original PDF pages are copied directly into the new file; thumbnails are previews only.
How do I split a PDF?
Click the first page, Shift-click the last page, then choose Download selected. Repeat for any other sections you need.
What this PDF workspace can change
Use this workspace for page-level edits. Add several files to merge them, drag pages into a new order, rotate sideways pages, remove pages, or select a range and download only that selection. The export copies the chosen PDF pages into a new file; the thumbnail is only a preview and is not substituted for the original page content.

Limits that change which tool you should use
The 500 MB per-file cap is a browser safety limit, not a promise that every device can process a file that large. Available memory, page count, page complexity, and browser limits can make the practical ceiling lower. Keep the tab open while previews and the final PDF are being built.
- Password-protected or damaged PDFs may not open. Use the password-aware tools or the original PDF application first.
- This workspace does not run OCR, reduce file size, convert pages to images, add encryption, or repair malformed documents.
- Rebuilding pages can affect document-level features such as bookmarks, attachments, forms, links, accessibility tags, and digital signatures. Test any feature you need to keep.
- For compression, image conversion, password protection, or unlocking, use the dedicated PDF tool rather than treating a page edit as the same operation.
What browser-local privacy does—and does not—cover
JustUtils reads and rebuilds the PDFs in this browser session; the page-editing flow has no file-upload step and JustUtils does not retain a server copy. Your source file and downloaded result still remain on your device. A synced Downloads folder, managed computer, browser extension, screen recorder, backup service, or malware operates outside that promise.
For confidential material, follow your organization’s rules, use a trusted device and a browser profile without unnecessary extensions, and choose the download location deliberately. The browser-local privacy guide explains how to inspect network activity and clean up temporary copies.
Verify the downloaded PDF before replacing anything
- Keep the original and give the result a new filename.
- Confirm the total page count, then inspect the first and last page of every merged or extracted range.
- Check every page you moved, rotated, or placed next to a file boundary.
- Search for a known phrase and test any link, form field, bookmark, signature, or accessibility behavior that matters.
- Open the result in a second PDF reader or the real destination portal before sharing it or deleting the source.
